One job card all the way through
The booking becomes a job card, which becomes jobs, which becomes time entries, which becomes an invoice. No transfers between systems, no data lost along the way.
DriveGo brings together bookings, job cards, time tracking, parts and customer communication in one workshop management system built for UK mechanics and the workshop floor.
Most workshop programmes are built like accounting systems. They expect someone to type in all the data, they assume the mechanic has time to document between every job, and they assume there is a free PC right next to the ramp. Reality is different. DriveGo is built for mechanics who are working — not for office staff.
The booking becomes a job card, which becomes jobs, which becomes time entries, which becomes an invoice. No transfers between systems, no data lost along the way.
Mechanics start and stop time directly from their phone on the workshop floor. No more 'what did I spend time on today' guesswork when putting the invoice together at the end of the day.
Order parts from the DriveGo Parts Catalogue covering all vehicles from 1970 onwards, directly from an open job card. The parts cost is added to the job automatically with the correct margin.
See all mechanics' bookings, free time and workload in one calendar. Never overbook — the system shows instantly where there is spare capacity.
SMS and email to the customer directly from the job card. 'Your car is ready', 'additional work required at £85' and 'your invoice has been sent' — all messages logged against the customer.
See everything that has been done on a vehicle since the customer first came to the garage. Service intervals, parts replaced, advisories and previous estimates. Nothing disappears.
Multiple mechanics can be on the same job card at the same time, each logging their own time. Management sees total labour per job and per technician.
Take a photo of damage, add a comment, and it is attached to the job as documentation. When the invoice is sent the customer can see exactly what was done and why.
"DriveGo gives us oversight of stock, workshop and customers all in one system. We no longer have to juggle three different programmes."
The customer books online, calls or walks in. The booking is created directly as a job card with status 'booked' and the requested date in the workshop calendar.
When the vehicle arrives the mechanic starts time on the job from the Android app. Time is recorded automatically and the system notes who is working on what.
If parts are needed, they are searched directly in the DriveGo Parts Catalogue from the job card. Price, lead time and margin are calculated automatically and added to the job.
An SMS is sent to the customer when approval is needed for additional work, and again when the vehicle is finished and ready for collection. All messages are logged against the customer.
When the job card is closed, the invoice is generated with all labour, parts and any charges. It syncs directly to Xero/Sage and is sent to the customer — all in one click.
