Parts & POS

Parts system with integrated POS for UK garages

The DriveGo Parts Catalogue covers all vehicles from 1970 onwards, with integrated stock management, ordering, margin calculation and a POS till for counter sales — all in one system.

Your workshop uses four systems for one parts purchase

The mechanic searches for the part in a catalogue, notes down the part number, goes to the counter to look up the price, enters the purchase into the stock system, and only then does the part get added to the job card. Every extra manual transfer is a source of errors, wasted time and incorrect invoices. DriveGo brings the entire parts flow into one system — from catalogue to invoice.

What DriveGo does for your parts flow

DriveGo Parts Catalogue from 1970 onwards

Integrated parts catalogue covering all vehicles from 1970 to the present. Search by number plate, OE number or make, and find the right part with lead time and price.

Parts added directly to the job card

Order parts from the open job. The part is added to the job card automatically with the correct price, margin and lead time. No manual re-entry.

Stock management with automatic replenishment

Fixed part numbers tracked with minimum stock levels. When stock falls below the minimum, the system automatically suggests an order from your preferred supplier.

Built-in POS for counter sales

Complete point-of-sale for customers who come in to buy parts over the counter. Same stock the workshop uses — no double-entry, no stock discrepancies.

Margin calculation in real time

The system calculates your margin on every individual part based on purchase price, customer discounts and pricing policy. You can see which parts make money and which do not.

Supplier integration

DriveGo can be connected to the suppliers you already trade with. Prices, lead times and stock status are synchronised so you always see current data in the ordering flow.

Barcode scanning supported

Use a barcode scanner at the counter to look up parts, receive deliveries from suppliers or reconcile stock. Everything syncs directly into DriveGo.

Xero/Sage invoicing

Invoices from counter sales and from job cards sync automatically to Xero or Sage with correct VAT handling and customer data. No more double-entry.

"DriveGo gives us oversight of stock, workshop and customers all in one system. We no longer have to juggle three different programmes."

How it works

  1. 1

    Mechanic searches for the part

From an open job card the mechanic searches the DriveGo Parts Catalogue by number plate or OE number. The system shows matching parts with price, margin, lead time and stock status.

  2. 2

    Part added to the job

With one click the part is added to the job card. The price is calculated automatically according to the customer's pricing agreement, margin is recorded, and the part is reserved from stock or ordered.

  3. 3

    Order placed with supplier

If the part is not in stock, an order is generated to your preferred supplier. The lead time is noted on the job card and the customer can be kept informed.

  4. 4

    Goods received and job continued

When the part arrives, the delivery is registered via barcode or manually. The mechanic is notified automatically that the job can continue.

  5. 5

    Invoicing

When the job card is closed, the parts are already on the invoice with correct pricing. The invoice is sent automatically to the customer and syncs to Xero/Sage.

Frequently asked questions

How does the DriveGo Parts Catalogue work?
The DriveGo Parts Catalogue is an integrated parts catalogue covering all vehicles from 1970 onwards. You can look up parts by number plate, OE number or make, and the system shows matching parts with price, margin, lead time and stock status. The catalogue is accessible from any job card as well as from a dedicated search in the main interface.
Can I use my existing suppliers?
Yes. DriveGo connects with the suppliers you already have accounts with. We support most major UK parts suppliers, and new integrations can be added during onboarding. Prices, lead times and stock status are synchronised so you always work with current data — not outdated price lists.
What is the difference between POS and job card invoicing?
POS (Point of Sale) is the till system for customers who come in to buy parts over the counter — typically paying by cash or card. Job card invoicing is for customers who have parts fitted as part of a workshop visit — typically invoiced together with the labour. DriveGo handles both flows from the same stock, so you never get discrepancies between counter sales and workshop usage.
Can I see margin per part?
Yes. DriveGo calculates the margin on every individual part based on purchase price, the customer's pricing agreement and your pricing policy. You can see margin per part, per job card, per customer, per vehicle make and in total for the month. It gives an honest picture of where the money comes from and where there is room for improvement.
Does the system support barcode scanning?
Yes. DriveGo supports barcode scanning at the counter and in the stockroom. You can look up parts, receive goods from suppliers or reconcile stock by scanning barcodes with a standard USB scanner or via the Android app.
How is stock reconciliation handled?
DriveGo has built-in stock reconciliation where you can review your parts holdings and record actual counts against the system values. Discrepancies are logged and you can generate a report showing where any losses have occurred. Most workshops run a reconciliation once a month or quarter.
